Build Your Faith by Meditating God's Word
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
James 1:25 (KJV)
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
These verses are the Old and New Testament parallels of each other. They are describing the same process. Each one gives us a good insight into how God has designed for His Word to work in our lives. Each one gives an aspect of how to get the Word rooted in our hearts and increase our faith.
